Want to experience a blissful or one of a kind adventure? When I tell people about wanting to swim with pigs they ask, "why would you want to swim with pigs?" I agree I wouldn't swim with horses or cows but swim with pigs, YES! Why wouldn't you? When I told my classmates about this blog topic most were concerned with the pigs biting them. However, my class mates did admit it is one of those exotic bucket list adventures. You can swim with pigs in the Nassau or The Exumas. This delectable oceanside experience is easy to book and your adventure includes a boat tour through the Exuma Cays. As you can see, I would love to swim with pigs but others may not. When I told other students in my class that I was blogging about this many did not share the same view as me. Many of my class mates were worried that they could harm you since they are roaming free. Although the pigs are wild, they are tame after years of being fed by tourists and locals. On Trip Advisor one review said, "We visited the pigs after several days on the water. We had kept all of our food scraps for the pigs and they were very happy to see us when we arrived. A fun experience for us and the pigs. Kids of all ages will love this stop." I think the company in charge does a good job making sure it is safe and fun based on the reviews I read. The only way to get to pig beach is by boat, you can either charter one or take a guided tour. A popular tour company is 4C's Adventures. I read multiple reviews that said the company did a good job maintaining the pigs and making sure no injuries occur. They offer a full day of swimming with pigs and nurse sharks, meeting iguanas, sandbar picnic, and snorkeling in the famous Thunderball Grotto. Is there a certain time that is best? Actually yes, if you want uninterrupted time with the pigs best time is early mornings. By late afternoon, it is common to find them sleepy with full bellies, and more likely to lay out on the sand rather than swim with you in the ocean. Pigs don't fly but they sure swim!

When I saw this post I wasn't sure if I would want to swim with pigs. But, it was a relief when you said they are tame and nice to tourists now. It made second guess my original thought because who could say they have swam with pigs before? (Not many!) Keep doing posts like this with fun activities in tropical areas!
